What are the technical requirements?

As an online system, eLearn is cross-compatible with Windows, Mac, and Linux.

One of the largest benefits of using a website, as opposed to a program, is the compatibility provided across all operating systems. Since our software adheres to HTML, Javascript, and CSS standards, we guarantee it will work across all standard browsers.

All you need is an internet connection and a modern browser. Currently, we support Internet Explorer 6 and higher, Firefox 2 and higher, Safari 2 and higher, and Google Chrome 1.0 and higher. You are most likely using one of those browsers, but even if you're not, eLearn allows access from all browsers, including non-supported ones. However, not all features are guaranteed to work on browsers outside of those mentioned.

Compatibility is important when working with the large diversity seen at today's schools. Our goal was to make eLearn user-friendly for all users , including those less technologically inclined. A built-in "Help" button can be found on every page, and provides specific instructions for what you're currently viewing, another way eLearn makes school management simple.

In our opinion, simplicity regards good design; picking up and immediately understanding how to use a product, just because it 'feels right.' Much of the 'feel-right' design comes from weeks of feedback and interviews from teachers, parents, and students alike.

The amount of experience with computers should not limit a user's ability in a system. Designed with simplicity in mind, eLearn offers a school-wide management solution for administrators, teachers, staff, students, and parents. Don't let that fool you, however, as advanced settings are always available for personalization.

A quick example of simplicity vs necessity: Though many classes follow the standard 90-100 is an "A" grayscale, some do not. We accommodate for this variation in our class preferences, and let you determine what percentages represent each letter grade, using a painless and straightforward interface.

Is my data secure?

The data sent across our servers is as secure as the transactions you make on while banking online. We've done our best to ensure absolute security in eLearn, both on our side, and yours. For example, if you leave your computer unattended for a period of time while logged into eLearn, you will automatically be logged out. This is done to ensure maximum security, while keeping your data safeguarded.
